Hey everyone, how’s it going? Geez has it been almost a month?
Well the main news to report is that I’ve finished a new short story. This one is called Heatwave, and it’s about a futanari and a woman who are stuck in a heat wave, and the way that they find relief. I certainly don’t think that it’s my best story but I think that it’s a pretty good one. Reminder that the file may take up to 24 hours to update from the asstr servers. Free file hosting is free, and you get what you pay for.
Now I’m working on the new Terra chapter, which is kinda coming along in spurts. A bit here, and a bit there, but not a lot of stuff all at once.
Beyond that there isn’t a whole heck of a lot going on. I’ve changed the sound system in my room around so that now everything goes through my speakers, which sounds slightly better, especially football, which I’m really looking forward to checking out.
Besides that, I’ve gotten into playing some more Japanese RPGs. Specifically the Mana Khemia series. It’s basically a continuation, or a spiritual successor to the Altelier Iris series, of which I enjoyed the third one. I didn’t like the first two but it was harder to get into them. They made vast improvements to the fighting system and the alchemy system, which makes a big difference in a 40 hour RPG.
Anyway the Mana Khemia games are based around a school for alchemy, sort of like Hogwarts for alchemy. It’s a good series, and very interesting, though some of the humor falls a little flat. I beat the first game easily enough, though the grinding wasn’t as enjoyable as you might expect. Fetching or farming rare items is a bitch. But the storyline was good, even though I spoiled myself on the wikipedia page, accidentally.
The second one is different though, not just in the storyline but in the entire feel of the game. The first had a sort of mythical magical sense to it. The second one isn’t nearly as mythical, it’s much more down to earth and character driven, whereas the first was plot driven. In fact the idea of having two different main characters with two different plots draws away from the cohesiveness of the storyline. I finished the girl’s storyline, Ulrika, and it was ok. Nothing great, and to be honest, if it was its own RPG, it would kinda suck. No saving the world, no great change, just saving her Mana from “bad guys”, who were largely misunderstood. Now I’m playing through the other male character’s story, which seems to be a little more physical comedy based, as opposed to the sarcastic comedy of the other side. I’ve got an idea of what this one is about since it somewhat overlaps with the other storyline, but honestly I’m not sure if it’s going to be all that interesting. But the best thing is that all of the items and recipes carry over, which saves a lot of time, especially with the equipment.
Anyway that’s pretty much what I’ve been up to. I played 20 hours in 2 days…god I need some women…
Thanks for voting on the poll people.
Peace,
