Terra, Chapter 30, Now Things are Getting Interesting

Hey folks, just a short update today, I finished the editing and thanks to the help by Theromen and Crudebuster I’ve posted the latest chapter of Terra at F3 and on my website. (Reminder, it takes up to 12 hours for my website to update the new files, but you get what you pay for with free hosting)

Chapter 30, Things are Getting Interesting, is a fun chapter to write, but things are getting more interesting. I spent a lot of time during the whole space trip trying to get the information and characterization of the people done earlier, and now I’m trying to get things into high gear, and it means a lot of characters, a lot of back and forth, and a lot more action than exposition. The truth is as I gear towards the end, it feels like I’ve either accomplished what I set out to do or I’m failing miserably, but there’s no middle ground. The next couple things will be big for the story as a whole, and for the characters involved. We’re much closer to the end than to the beginning folks, I’d say on the cusp of hitting the ¾ mark, give or take. Of course, it’s hard to do the math for all of it, but the important thing is that we’re getting there, towards what I hope is either a compelling, or satisfying, conclusion. 

I’ve started writing in Club Vanilla, but I’ve hit a little wall right now, and it’s taken me some time to get beyond that, so I started focusing on Terra for a bit. Instead of banging my head against a wall, I’d rather get somewhere writing in Terra, or whatever story. The allure of finishing CV is there, but I don’t want to do it too quickly, I don’t want to do it too poorly. I had considered doing one chapter, but I’m still wondering if one big one makes more sense, or if two small ones posted at the same time would work better. I’m going to map the structure of the rest out and find out what should happen.
