Obligatory Title

Hey everyone, what’s up? Today kinda sucks, but that’s because it’s the last day of vacation. Oh well, I did what I planned to do, mostly nothing with a couple side orders of nothing. I wrote quite a bit, I got a lot of exercise in, actually walked close to 40 miles in about 11 days, which isn’t anything great but it’s what I was trying to do. The goal is to keep that up and eventually burn some of the fat off of my ass. Though sitting around at my computer most of the day didn’t help I still think I mostly broke even for the week.

Getting back to writing I’ve finished the chapter of Terra, and now it’s off at Theromen’s email bin waiting for him to give it a look through, and point out all of the very obvious and easy to see mistakes that I’ve somehow missed. He’s good with me like that.

Also I’ve gotten going on the next chapter of Club Vanilla, and well, I guess I’ll toss up the spoiler warning again.

*****START SPOILER*****

Basically I’ve come to the conclusion that as the story is written, there’s really no need for there to be two chapters of the story. Essentially the last idea should be done in one chapter instead of drawing it out into two. It just flows and works much better that way, at least I think so. Essentially that just means there’s one last chapter to be written and then the story of Club Vanilla will be at its end. At least the story of Julie at Club Vanilla, or the narrative of this novel.

******END SPOILER******
*************************

I plan on revisiting the world of Club Vanilla, though whether it will be another novel length story, a set of novellas, or perhaps just some short fiction as a stroke story during a boring lull in writing, has yet to be determined. Right now I don’t think it would be possible to come up with a good or great storyline to write in the universe, not a novel length story. I’ve got quite a few novellas in mind involving some of the characters, though some of it may be explained out in the main story of Terra eventually. Though amusing ideas about a practice dinner with a special loli or another about the relationship between Dan and Linwe will probably get me to write something eventually, sooner or later.

Whew it is hot and steamy today, and I’m not a big fan of it to say the least. I’ve been spoiled with great cool weather this summer. For me, I would rather have it in the 70s all summer, and no humidity. I got my wish throughout most of July too, except for the last week. Just another month or so and hopefully the worst will be behind us.

Just finished the first Penny Arcade game, on the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness, and it was pretty amusing. The game was reminiscent of an adventure game but with RPG elements thrown in. the humor was there, the system was very repetitive but got old quick. Still it didn’t matter that much, I couldn’t have played it for more than 6 or 7 hours. I’m going to give the second episode a try soon. Amazingly, it actually ran on my computer, which is a rarity these days. But it’s my fault for having an 8 year old computer. I know, right?

Oh one last note. Funny thing happened right after my post about taking a break. Turns out one of the people on F3 that I thought had been rude I must have misinterpreted. My fault, I suppose. Then I felt like a jackass, which is what I had been, so about a day after I said I was taking a break, I posted again. Figures. WoF is still down, and I haven’t been to FP in almost a week. From what I’ve heard there isn’t that much going on there anyway. I guess we’ll really see starting when I get the chapter back if I’ll go back or not. I’m still thinking about taking an extended break from FP, but I’m sure I’ll post stuff there eventually. As I said, I’ll always have things posted on my website, sooner or later, whenever ASSTR’s update server transfers the files to the main host one. But you’ll know if you read my blog, because I announce the stories here as well.

PS new poll, what format do you prefer reading? I’ve always been a fan of text files but I’m thinking that maybe some people aren’t so much. So I’ve considered leaving various versions of the documents, but I don’t want to have six different options. I’ve thought maybe have a text and html option, and when I complete longer length stories like Club Vanilla, create an ebook pdf file once the whole thing is done. But I don’t know, maybe some people prefer word documents to read.

Anyway that’s all I got, more than usual. Hit me up on a comment if you want. Otherwise just vote and keep reading, and I’ll keep writing.

Peace,
